Merry Christmas!!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas. We enjoyed celebrating and spending time together. Here are just a few pictures of our day.

Celia received a LOT of princess stuff! Her grandma Merry made this beautiful princess dress for her and she absolutely loves it.

Conner seems very happy in this picture - I wonder why???

After watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Celia insists on singing around the tree just like the whos do in Whoville. Aaron's mom gave us this Disney Christmas village and it has a tree in it with a circling train. Celia got us to gather around this tree as well as our own big tree. I am just thrilled any time we are all together holding hands -singing words that rhyme with who is even better!!

Lost Tooth!!

After days of watching his tooth flip flop back and forth while he talked, Max finally lost his tooth in his sleep. He was relieved to know that you can just leave the tooth fairy a note about losing it and she can find it. Now we are waiting on the other middle tooth. We are hoping they are both out by Christmas. Then we can sing him THE song. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. Max would get a kick out of that!

It started with a tree

Max made us this wonderful Christmas tree picture at school. He wanted to send a picture of it to his grandparents. While we were taking the picture, Cecelia decided that it could only improve...
with her in it as well. I admit the picture is cutest with them both in it.
Still, every girl wants the spotlight on just her once in awhile. Celia is not shy about that desire.

Merry Christmas

This is our Christmas tree this year. The kids and I put it up a few weeks ago and I don't think we want to take it down - ever. What a cozy time of the year.

Last night we went to the MomsClub Christmas party and had a great time. When we first got there, Celia got her hands on a whole bunch of balloons. She was a very happy girl......until she had to share. Luckily, she got over it and the party continued.

Celia is very fond of Santa. Waiting in line was difficult, but boy was it worth it. Santa brought her a light up wand!!!

Max was happy to see Santa as well. However, he later explained to me that it wasn't really Santa but actually Christian's daddy. We talked about how nice it was of Christian's daddy to help Santa out this year.

You can probably tell by Conners face that he was thrilled to get his picture taken with Santa. I did force him to take this picture because.........

when I tried to get him and his friend Zach to pose for a picture together, this is what I got!

We were so happy that Aaron got off work in time to come party with us! Celia was very proud to show off her wand. Not long after this picture she was asleep on daddy's lap.

WE LOVE SANTA!!!

The kids finally got to visit Santa today. They were soooo excited. Celia just kept staring at Santa, and as some of you might expect, Max kept talking to Santa. I love comparing the Santa pictures from year to year. They grow so fast, and I am so thankful to be able to watch them do just that.

Halloween party

A good friend of mine had a Halloween party Friday night. We have not dressed up for years. We had a great time!

Painting Pumpkins

Max did a great job painting dinosaurs on his pumpkin.

Celia decided that one should not restrict themselves to painting pumpkins only. She decided that painting herself only made the experience more fun!

Conner decorated his with his favorite team...the Colts.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Another trip to Fun City! MomsClub had an event at Fun City a week ago and we never pass that up! Here Celia is with her friend Joshua taking a ride!

We went on a hayrack ride yesterday with MomsClub. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the kids had a great time. After the ride we got to go and make smores and the kids got to jump on the trampoline. No surprise that Max skipped the smores and jumped the entire time. Celia, being the lady that she is chose to just play in the dirt.

I work part-time at a daycare at a place called the Jones Center for Families. The kids can come with me to work (which makes it not feel like work) and they have a great time. Here Max has just gotten a dinosaur painted on his face. Dinosaurs are the "it" thing right now for Max.

The kids showing their muscles at Fun City!

Chief for the Day!!

I went to have lunch with Max on Thursday and to my surprise he was the Chief for the day.

I was so proud watching Max lead his class to lunch and back in the school at the end of recess.

Rainy Weekend

We have had a ton of rain this weekend. The way I found out how much rain we had this weekend is that some of it ended up in our house! Luckily we found out that we have a sump pump in our backyard that I was unaware that we had. Unluckily we found out that we had it because it was not working. Anyway, what was going to be a lazy weekend ended up being anything but. From the pictures below you can see that it took a toll on the kids. Okay, maybe the rain and the house didn't but I think my mood definitely exhausted them.

Saturday night bedtime was earlier than usual. Conner and Celia were done for the night.

Sunday Celia was going through one of those moments when you can't decide if you would rather eat or sleep. Obviously sleep won!

As for Max, what can I say? Besides needing very little sleep, and very little food, he is almost ALWAYS in a great mood. Here he is being a magician.

Monday

Miss Celia climbed in bed with us a few minutes before I had to get up. I think she was very happy to have her daddy back home with her. I love when I catch these moments, and I can just watch them for awhile. I am truly blessed.

Later that day, we went to an activity with MomsClub at McDonalds. As usual the kids had a great time.

Aarons trip

Aaron had a great time in California. He went to the game with Mike Rippe. They have been friends for years. The last time we visited them was around four years ago, and they were expecting their first child. Now they have three beautiful kids. Aaron really enjoyed getting to meet all of them.

Aaron is coming home!

We are so excited that Aaron is coming home tonight. His airplane will get in tonight around 7:00 but we are starting to prepare this morning. Can you tell we miss him? We are going to get the house all cleaned up, and the kids are going to get a sign made for him. When I woke up this morning, Max was nose to nose with me letting me know that it was time to get out of bed. He started my day with a song. It went something like this - Daddy is coming home today and mommy is going to say I missed you so much daddy. Then we are all going to hug and be so happy and what do you think he got me?

I realize that he has only been gone for four days, but we still miss the guy. I am already reminding myself that I need to show restraint and let all three of the kids talk at the same time to him before I start in. At least he feels loved, even if he also feels overwhelmed.

He said he has taken a lot of pictures of his time in California so I will post those tonight or tomorrow.

Lunch with Max

Tomorrow morning, Aaron is leaving for California for the USC vs. Nebraska game. He decided to go and have lunch with Max today because he won't get to see him for a few days. Max was very happy to see his daddy. I can understand why. Like I always say, "Everything is more fun with an Aaron!"

Saturday

After a pretty busy week, I was really looking forward to doing nothing. After getting the kids fed, and the house cleaned, I thought I would just lay on the couch and watch a movie. However, the kids had different ideas about how the afternoon should be spent.

Celia got into my drawers, found all of her ponytail holders, and decided she should wear all of them at the same time. It's a good look for her, isn't it?
Max decided to go through his toys and then bring ALL of them into the living room to have a "yard sale."
Conner just waiting for me to leave him alone.

Celia crashed

After what was obviously a hard afternoon of playing for Miss Celia, she simply crashed. I don't know that this was the most comfortable place for her to have chosen, but.....oh well.

Welcome to our blog

We are so excited to get this site started! As you can imagine, we have been very busy with the start of school, and various activities. It has been a great start to the school year. The kids have been doing a great job at school, and Celia is getting used to being stuck with just mommy all day. We FINALLY got our new camera so I am very excited to start snapping pictures all the time.
